One of my lunch breaks like: I close @saporitafood and run home to make dinner. I’m actually not very good at sweets, in fact I love the salty much more. But today I wanted to try my hand at a cake and the result was wonderful. Chestnut honey cake is a quick and easy recipe. The secret is in the selection of raw material and I in this I have advantaged having all the products in store.

Chestnut honey cake

  1. Ingredients:

    – 50g butter
    – 100g milk
    – 200gChestnut honey
    – 250g flour for sweets
    – 20g brown sugar
    – 1 sachet baking powder
    – 1 lemon
    – 1 pinch ofsalt
    – 1 egg at room temperature

  2. Let’s start

    Slowly melt the butter in the milk in a saucepan, without bringing to a boil, once melted add the honey and melt. Turn off before it bubbles and leave to cool.

  3. Prepare the dough

    Put the flour and baking powder, sugar, pinch of saltand grated lemon zest in a bowl. Then mix with a spoon and put the egg in the center at room temperature. Mix with a hand whisk.

  4. Work the compound

    Add the lemon juice and stir until creamy and homogeneous.

  5. Flour the mold

    Butter the mold, in my case I chose to make a doughnut, flour it and pour the mixture.

  6. Bake

    Bake in a static oven preheated to 180 degrees celsius for about 35 minutes, always check with a stick cooking.

  7. Churning out

    Leave to cool before removing from the tin.

  8. Good snack

    Remove the mold, add the icing sugar (I do not prefer it) to personal taste. Enjoy your meal!

I chose Chestnut honey,but you can also use the acaciahoney, milleflowers, rhododendron Etc. If you want to make the recipe more delicious you can add nuts to the dough. Use your imagination as well.
